site.btaEnergy Workers, Miners Continue Protests for Eleventh Day

Key traffic points in the Stara Zagora region remain closed for the eleventh day, the Trakia motorway is blocked in the area of the 208th kilometer, the cloverleaf interchange in the direction of Stara Zagora and in the direction of Haskovo, as well as the Pass of the Republic. The protests started Friday, September 29, and contiue to this day.

Their main demand has now become the withdrawal of the submitted Territorial Just Transition Plans and new negotiations on the points of the agreement between representatives of the protesting side and the governement. 

Protesters are preparing for effective strike action and have been collecting the required signatures since Thursday.
