Bulgaria ranks among the European countries with fastest recovery of inbound tourism and good price-quality ratio, the Tourism Ministry said in a press release. According to a European Travel Commission survey, inbound tourism in Bulgaria has recovered to 95%, compared to its pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

Tourism in Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Denmark, and Turkiye recovers the fastest in the first quarter of 2023.

The survey covers a total of 32 European countries.

Figures show that the number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria increased by 21% in the first quarter of 2023,  compared to the same period in 2019, while accommodation figures show a 92.4% recovery rate.
