The documentary To Sofia, with Love by directors Martin Grahovski and Petar Tukhchiev received recognition at the ART&TUR tourism film festival in Portugal, the film team said.

The festival is part of the international CIFFT network, which unites the 14 most significant tourism film festivals in the world. The Bulgarian film was awarded second place in the Art and Creativity category.

The film is part of the long-term #soWelcometoSofia initiative launched in 2023 to promote cultural heritage and tourism in Sofia. The selection of 30 most notable symbols is based on a #soSofia study, conducted with the participation of students majoring in Sociology at Sofia University, and  identifies the landmarks that citizens themselves would recommend to guests of the capital.
