He noted that the contract, which was signed between the Ministry of Culture, J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles and NAIM-BAS is tripartite. "We have been entrusted with the main functions, both for the organization of the exhibition, but also for the general organization and logistics on Bulgarian territory and the coordination between all Bulgarian institutions," explained Popov.

The first of the main monuments that NAIM-BAS is participating with is the Valchitran Treasure," he said. Other important exhibits are objects from the iconic Duvanli Necropolis near Plovdiv, a bronze hydria from the ancient necropolis of Mesambria, the stone stele of Deines, which is from the necropolis of Apollonia, an inscription from Seuthopolis, and the bronze head of Seuthes III from his tomb at Golyamata Kosmatka near Kazanlak, Popov pointed out.

As the organizer and coordinator of the Bulgarian exposition in Los Angeles, NAIM-BAS Director Assoc. Prof. Hristo Popov answered BTA's questions about the relationship with the J. Paul Getty Museum, the selection of the exhibits, NAIM-BAS's contribution to it and the technical part of the transportation and preparation of the monuments for the exhibition.
