site.btaArtists From Hungary, Greece, Ukraine to Perform at Crossroads Stage Autumn Theatre Festival in Plovdiv

Theatre artists from Hungary, Greece and Ukraine will be guests at the 28th edition of the Crossroads Stage Autumn Theatre Festival in Plovdiv from September 10 to 21, said the organizers on Friday.

The first performance will be by the Greek Reon Productions troupe on September 14, with Director Ioli Andreadi and composers George Palamiotis and Erato Kremmyda.

On September 18, the Budapest National Theatre will perform the historical drama The Viceroy Bank by Jozsef Katona. The director of the production is Attila Vidnyanszky, former Director of the Hungarian State Opera, and since 2013 Director of the National Theatre in Budapest. 

Ukrainian actor Igor Titov from the Regional Academic Youth Theatre of Dnipropetrovsk will present his solo performance Dance with Double Bass on September 19, based on the play The Double Bass by Patrick Süskind.

The Crossroads Stage Autumn Theatre Festival was established in 1997 by prominent Bulgarian actor Stefan Danailov, Plovdiv Municipality, the Culture Ministry and the Plovdiv Drama Theatre. Over the years the festival has presented hundreds of theatrical performances to Plovdiv audiences.
