In an interview for BTA, artist Tsvetan Kazandzhiev talks about his works exhibited at Sofia's GrafikArt Gallery. "This is the sixth or seventh exhibition called 'The Way...'. It is a working title that shows my creative path. And I add to it with each exhibition. Because the path is not ending and, as the Indians say, the destination is not important: it is the path we are walking that is important. With God's blessing, my path has a little more time. Partly, in a very small percentage, this is my life path," he says.

"My artistic path shows where I started: from graphic art, drawing, watercolour, painting," adds the author. Especially for the art space, he created black and white versions of his colour prints. He explains that they are deliberately done in black and white to contrast with the drawings he presents.

Only one of the large-format paintings on display has not received an award abroad. The artist adds that he has chosen things to highlight his work and the recognition he has received.

"This is an original technique on a metal plate. Each work has seven to eight to nine graphic techniques that I have synchronised. The result is a synthesis. I think I've achieved something that, actually, is deep inside me, in my soul," the artist says.

Gallerist and artist Lyudmil Georgiev told BTA that Kazandzhiev is among the artists who are very deserving of recognition and have a lot to give to the public and ready lessons to students. "My respect for him knows no bounds because we have been classmates since the 1980s. After that, he showed me a lot of things in graphic craft. I am very grateful to him, and this is a very small gesture I can make towards him," Georgiev added.

Tsvetan Kazandzhiev was born on October 17, 1960 in the southwestern city of Yambol, where he currently lives and works. Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1989. To date, he has about 300 participations in international and Bulgarian exhibitions, including over 90 prestigious international forums and exhibitions of graphic art. He has over 30 awards and nominations from competitions and forums in the USA, Spain, Japan, South Korea, France. His works are owned by the National Gallery in Sofia and galleries in Sweden, Poland, Spain, as well as many private collections in Bulgaria, Japan, Greece, the Netherlands, USA, Finland, France, and Poland.
