site.bta"The Way..." Exhibition by Tsvetan Kazandjiev to Be Unveiled in Sofia

An exhibition by Tsvetan Kazandjiev entitled The Way... will be presented at Grafikart Gallery in Sofia. The vernissage will be on June 11, the organizers said on Tuesday.

"Recognised by the Japanese as one of the best printmakers in the world, Tsvetan is a man with no professional education in the arts, but who knows his way and that is the way of printmaking. The Way ... will show us the black matrices of those printmaking lists that have won international recognition with over 30 nominations and awards in the USA, Spain, Japan, Korea, France," the organizers from Grafikart said. In their words, Kazandjiev inspired many Bulgarian artists to "indulge" in classical graphic art and start experimenting. 

Tsvetan Kazandjiev was born on October 17, 1960 in Yambol, Southeastern Bulgaria. He has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, Graphics Section, since 1989. He has had more than 150 participations in international graphic forums and competitions. He has dozens of solo exhibitions and collective participations in galleries in Bulgaria and abroad - Japan, Poland, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, USA, Germany, Austria, Italy. Kazandjiev is the winner of more than 30 awards from competitions and forums around the world and in Bulgaria. He lives and works in his hometown of Yambol.
