site.btaTrade Union of Bulgarian Teachers Presents Its Annual Prizes

For the twenty-seventh consecutive year the Trade Union of Bulgarian Teachers presented the awards of the national competition "Teacher of the Year".

In the final stage of the competition 70 teachers and principals were nominated, and among them the winners in ten areas were awarded, said union president Yanka Takeva.

The fields are pre-school education and training; primary education; humanitarian education; natural and mathematical education; arts and sports; vocational education, principals and assistant principals; educational work, extracurricular and out-of-school activities, school psychologists and pedagogical advisors; young teachers; mentors.

At the ceremony, awards were presented to the winners of the title "Teacher of the Year" and to the winners of the special award of the union president.

Awarded teachers received statuettes, school bells, diplomas, gifts from the publishing house "KLET", as well as a voucher for participation in training and experience exchange organized by the trade union.

The ceremony was attended by President Rumen Radev, former education ministers, academia, teachers, scientists, and social partners.
