Bulgarian artist Boryana Boko defines the notion of "zero frequency" in her exhibition of abstract drawings and paintings at Art Hotel 158 in Sofia. The exhibition, curated by Rumena Kalcheva, will open on April 16, the organizers say.

It is a carefully selected set of more than 20 abstract drawings, mainly monochrome, and four large paintings hanging freely in space.

Boryana Boko is known for her patchwork textiles and collages which have been displayed in group exhibitions and on national shows. Now, she is presenting her new path of artistic pursuit, the path of abstract art, in which composition and colour are most important. It may seem an entirely new direction for her from the point of view of the general public, but not from the perspective of those who follow her career closely.
