Young artist Alexander Georgiev's charity exhibition "To Colours with Love" opened in the National Assembly building on Wednesday. The artist is raising funds for support and personal development of children with autism.
Georgiev is a descendant of artists Vladimir "The Master" Dimitrov and Nikola Georgiev Poppetrov. His paintings are brimming with vibrant colours, geometric and stylized shapes. His work is dedicated to the quality of life of children with autism in Bulgaria, the organizers said.
The artist told the visitors that his works had been painted with oil on canvas since 2016. "During all these years, I have been looking for various subjects and painting and colouring them as I sense them. I hope I have been able to convey this emotion to you," he said, wishing those present a happy day of love and wine.
The opening was attended by MPs and Georgiev's lecturers from New Bulgarian University.
