The Greek band Selofan will have a concert in Sofia on April 12, the organizers said here on Wednesday.
The Joanna and Dimitris duo was founded in 2012. They met in an Athens club, being a DJ and a sound engineer at that time. They started Selofan, which became a love story inspired by dark aesthetics.
The lyrics in different languages are written by Joanna, the music with bass lines, drum machine rhythm and drifting saxophone melodies are designed by Dimitris.
"Experimental exploration combined with improvisation and a live theatrical element is embedded in their six released albums. The duo from Athens enjoys a solid status among the new wave of the post-punk scene," the organizers said.
The two musicians are the founders and curators of Fabrika Records. Lebanon Hanover and She Past Away, who have performed in Bulgaria, are also part of this label.
