An exhibition by Swiss-Senegalese artist Momar Seck is on at the Mission Gallery of the State Cultural Institute with the Foreign Minister in Sofia. It is part of the events marking the 30th anniversary of the Bulgaria’s admission to the International Organization of La Francophonie.

Momar Seck is winner of the UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Visual Arts. He is based in Geneva and has presented exhibitions in Europe and Senegal. He holds a doctorate in plastic arts from the University of Strasbourg and teaches in Geneva and Dakar. He is researching several areas related to the use of recycled materials in art and their impact on art itself. Momar Seck has illustrated a French-language poetry collection by Reni Yotova, La perpétuation du Bien ("The Perpetuation of the Good"), which is a unique creative bridge between Bulgarian and Senegalese culture and an example of cultural diplomacy in action.

The opening event at the Mission Gallery on October 18 was attended by the artist himself, Reny Yotova, Swiss Ambassador Raymund Furrer, diplomats.

The exhibition will be on until November 10.
