site.btaGuests from Romania, Moldova Expected at Dishes of Dobrudzha Culinary Festival in NE Bulgaria

The Dishes of Dobrudzha traditional culinary festival will be held at the village of Srebarna (Northeastern Bulgaria) on October 7, Silistra Municipality said Thursday. Guests from Romania and Moldova are expected as well as participants from the regions of Burgas and Dobrich, the organizers from the Vazrazhdane 1940 community centre in Srebarna said.

Sixteen teams have applied for participation. The event is open to community centres, pension clubs, informal groups, and individual participants wishing to present homemade meals. A jury presided by ethnologist Yordan Kassabov will evaluate the dishes in the categories of soups, main dishes, and desserts.

The festival is held under the auspices of Silistra Mayor Yulian Naydenov.
