Seattle's multi-ethnic punk metal band Kultur Shock has announced an upcoming concert in Sofia. The event will be on April 5 at the Pirotska 5 Event center, organizers said.

The concert is part of the band's current European tour "No Nostalgia Tour 2023". It starts in early April from Greece and is expected to include more than 20 dates. Sofia will be the band's third musical stop.

In the line-up of Kultur Shock is Bulgarian Val Kiossovski - guitarist and vocals, brother of "Control" drummer Oggi Kiossovski. The other musicians in the band are Chris Stromquist (drums), Gino Yevdjevich (vocals, trumpet, tarambuka), Amy Denio (clarinet, saxophone, vocals), Guy Davis (bass and vocals) and Eleni Govetas (violin, saxophone, drums, vocals).

"In the 23 years on stage with Kultur Shock, I've never experienced the energy that the band brings to the new normal, post-pandemic. It's like the energy was 'bottled' for two or three years and now it's like champagne that's been shaken before it's opened," Val Kiossovski said before the tour.

In the first three weeks of the "No Nostalgia Tour 2023" in the concerts of Kultur Shock the Belgrade band Erik & the Worldly Savages will also participate and the audience is about to hear it in Sofia as well.
