After seven editions in the city of Ruse on the Danube, the Allegra festival is moving to the capital, the organizers said on Thursday.

Traditionally, the event takes place in the second half of July. In its eighth edition, the academy will offer 10 master classes in violin, viola, cello, and orchestral conducting, led by world-renowned names such as Prof. Boris Garlitsky, Prof. Sebastian Hamann, Prof. Sergey Malov, Prof. Wilfried Strele, Prof. Nimrod Guez, Prof. Laszlo Fenyo.

Between 15 and 22 July 2022, fans of classical music will have the opportunity to experience a real holiday with musicians from the artistic elite, the organizers promise.

At the opening of the festival, Sergey Malov will perform, together with the festival orchestra, Concerto No. 3 by Camille Saint-Saens.

The festival bill will feature works by Franz Schubert, Ludwig van Beethoven, Niccolo Paganini, Jerome Ducrot, Bedrich Smetana, Antonin Dvorak, PI Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, and Igor Stravinsky.

This year's edition will present the new achievement of the festival - the international youth The New Generation Orchestra.
