The exhibition “Christo and Jeanne-Claude: Wrapped Reichstag, Berlin, 1971-95” will be presented in Bulgaria for the first time. Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the iconic artistic duo, the exhibition will open on Tuesday, November 4, and will be on display until March 22, 2026 at the Kvadrat 500 gallery, the organizers from the National Gallery said.

The exhibition also marks 30 years since the realization of the Wrapped Reichstag project in Berlin and 40 years since the Wrapped Pont Neuf project in Paris. Gergana Mihova is curator of the exhibition.

Among the exhibits is the first original work by Christo acquired by the National Gallery – Wrapped Reichstag (Project for Berlin, 1971–1995) from 1986, as well as collages, photographs, video materials, and archival documents tracing the long path to the realization of this extraordinary project.

The event is organized jointly with the Christo and Jeanne-Claude Foundation, in partnership with the French Institute in Bulgaria and Goethe-Institut Bulgaria. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is a media partner.

BTA dedicated the June 2025 issue of its LIK magazine to Christo and Jeanne-Claude. “Christo and Jeanne-Claude at 90 in Eternity” will be published in English, French, and German by the end of the year.
