Traffic is heavy for passenger vehicles exiting Bulgaria into Serbia through the Kalotina border checkpoint, according to the Border Police, as of 6:00am on Wednesday.

At the border with North Macedonia, traffic through the Stanke Lisichkovo checkpoint has been restored in both directions. On August 6, crossing in both directions for passenger and freight vehicles at this checkpoint was suspended due to the final layer of asphalt being laid in the border zone, which is undergoing full reconstruction.

Traffic at the other checkpoints with North Macedonia is normal.

Crossing at the border checkpoints with Turkey is also functioning normally.

Major repairs are underway on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, on the border with Romania. A temporary traffic arrangement has been put in place. Traffic is limited to a single lane, with alternating passage regulated by staff from the construction company.

All other border checkpoints are reporting normal traffic conditions.

On the Greek side of the Rudozem–Xanthi route, construction work is in progress. Greek authorities have posted signs indicating that the area is an active construction site and entry by unauthorized persons is prohibited.

At the border crossings with Greece in the areas of Makaza, Zlatograd, and Ivaylovgrad, passage is only permitted for cars and minibuses weighing up to 3.5 t.
