site.btaTen People Admitted to Veliko Tarnovo Hospital After Three-Car Crash at Pass of Republic

A total of 10 people, including four children, were admitted to the Emergency Department of the Veliko Tarnovo Hospital after a three-car accident at the Pass of the Republic near Mishemorkov Han on Friday morning, the hospital said.

Five of the hospitalized, including two children, are Romanian citizens, who will be transported to Romania after assessing their condition, at the insistence of the Romanian authorities.

The remaining five people are Bulgarians, including the other two children. They have various injuries and will remain in the Veliko Tarnovo Hospital for treatment.

The three-car accident occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on Friday in the area of Mishemorkov Han at the Pass of the Republic. The reasons are being clarified and pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
