There Is Such a People (TISP) Floor Leader Toshko Yordanov told reporters here on Wednesday that Bulgaria's accession to the euro area should be accepted as normal and as a step in the country's development.

On Wednesday, the European Commission (EC) and the European Central Bank will present reports with their assessments on Bulgaria's readiness to join the euro area. The two extraordinary reports requested by Bulgaria are expected to have similar content, but only the EC document will contain a recommendation to the Council of the European Union.

Yordanov criticized two parties for overexposing the topic – Continue the Change (CC) and "their polar opposites" Vazrazhdane.

Commenting on CC's plans to move for a vote of no confidence in the Rosen Zhelyazkov government after a date is set for Bulgaria's entry in the eurozone, Yordanov stated: "If a party has declared that the euro area is the purpose of its existence, to ask for a vote of no confidence in the government and possibly to bring it down just when you are about to have a date and when the groundwork for a smooth transition into the euro area should be done without speculations means that you are a complete idiot." He added that CC's coalition partner Democratic Bulgaria "in this case visibly realize what nonsense their coalition partners are proposing".
