site.btaLabour Minister, Bulgarian Red Cross Leadership Discuss Development of Social Services

Labour and Social Policy Minister Borislav Gutsanov metwith the leadership of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC), his ministry said on Tuesday. Bulgarian Red Cross Director General Krasimir Gigov and Deputy Director General Nadezhda Todorovska presented to the Minister and Deputy Minister Natalia Efremova the organization’s activities in the social sphere.

Minister Gutsanov noted that he is well acquainted with the activities of the organization because he has been cooperating with it for years. "On our part you will have full support for any of your initiatives," he said. The leadership of the Bulgarian Red Cross and the Minister agreed on the need to work on expanding social services for vulnerable people, as well as improving their access to health care.

Minister Gutsanov undertook to organize a meeting between the Ministry, the Bulgarian Red Cross and the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria to discuss possible joint activities.
