A body was found in a house destroyed by the explosion of gas equipment in Sofia's Bankya borough,  the head of the Sofia Police, Chief Commissioner Lyubomir Nikolo told journalists at the scene of the incident. The body was badly burned. According to initial information, it was a 58-year-old woman. Another person is still unaccounted for, the woman's brother. Specialized teams and rescue dogs are still searching the site. 

Chief Commissioner Nikolov reported that the fire was completely extinguished, there is no danger to citizens in the area. 

"The only thing we have done is to evacuate citizens from the neighboring house, as there is a danger that part of the house that was blown up yesterday will collapse," said Nikolov. Commissions have already been appointed, as far as I understand, to describe the damage to neighboring buildings and subsequently people will be compensated," he added.
