The goal of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) will be to include the measures from the declaration on the cordon sanitaire around MRF-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski to be included in a coalition agreement," MP Ivaylo Mirchev (CC-DB) said Monday. "We cannot make any concessions from this, because we from Democratic Bulgaria are the authors of this declaration", Mirchev stressed.

He said that the first meeting for forming a government will be held later on Monday in the National Assembly. The talks will be between the negotiating teams of GERB and DB. "At the moment I am going to a meeting with colleagues to specify the exact composition, but most likely there will be five or six people who have been identified, and even more likely there will be follow-up meetings", Mirchev said, adding that the negotiating team will try to convene every day "so that we can offer something meaningful to the country before Christmas". In his opinion, the possibility of an eighth election in the span of three years would be extremely bad.

Mirchev presumed that on GERB's team will most likely be comprised of those, already nominated by GERB leader Boyko Borissov - Tomislav Donchev, Raya Nazaryan, Rosen Zhelyazkov and others.

Mirchev said that the matter of waiving MP immunities is a solo campaign of the prosecutor's office and Borislav Sarafov, "who apparently really wants to become Prosecutor General". "We will disappoint him very much, we will do everything possible to prevent him from becoming Prosecutor General", Mirchev stressed, adding that Sarafov owes a lot of answers to the public and is not suitable to be Prosecutor General. Mirchev elaborated that this matter will be discussed in the government-forming talks and that such behaviour should not be tolerated in Bulgaria anymore. "That is, such pressure, exerted on politicians by the second largest party, should not happen in this way", Mirchev said.

He expressed his hope that GERB leader Borissov will "show statesmanship and all the measures from the declaration to enter into the coalition agreement, then we will be on a completely new track".
