MP candidates of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) talked at another meeting with the business about the need for reforms that the coalition proposes, with a focus on transparency and reduction of administrative burden. Also at issue was the lack of an industrial zone in Sliven. This limits the opportunities to attract investors and create new jobs.

According to Tatyana Sultanova, the top candidate on CC-DB’s list, the local administration should be modernized and assist the business in order for the region to achieve its potential.

The coalition’s agenda includes specific measures to preserve tax rates, control electricity prices, and state aid for business expansion, as well as promote the National Investment Program.

Sliven has potential for development, but transparent and accountable governance is needed to realize it. Businesses in Sliven face slow administrative processes and a lack of e-government, which significantly complicates the work of entrepreneurs, the coalition said.
