Bulgarian Rise party's top-of-the-list candidate in Silistra Stefan Panteleev, together with MP candidate Stoyan Peychev, visited the 10th edition of the culinary festival Dobrudja's Dishes in the village of Srebarna, the party's headquarters told BTA.

The candidates discussed with Srebarna Mayor Georgi Ivanov the challenges related to the Srebarna nature reserve, as well as the prospects for the development of the village.

The Srebarna reserve is located on the main migration route of migratory birds between Europe and Africa, Via Pontica. The Srebarna Lake is unique for the reed islands floating freely on its surface. In 1983, the reserve received its greatest recognition - it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a natural functioning ecosystem providing an important habitat for the endangered Dalmatian pelican.
