September 17: Thick cloud over most of Bulgaria. Longer sunny spells along the Danube River and in the northeast. Wind east-northeasterly, light; the northeastern areas will get light to moderate wind from the north. Highs: 20 C to 25 C, in Sofia 20 C.

The coast: Thick cloud, with more significant sunny spells along the northern stretch of the coastline. Wind north-northeasterly, light to moderate. Highs: 23 C to 25 C. Sea water temperature: 24 C. Sea waves: 2 to 3 degrees Douglas.

The mountains: Thick cloud, with minor drizzle in isolated areas. Light snow at the highest elevations in Mt Rila and Mt Pirin. Wind light to moderate; north-northeasterly at lower elevations, south-southeasterly at mountaintops. Highs: 16 C at 1,200 metres above sea level, 8 C at 2,000 metres.
