Parliament on Wednesday rejected a draft resolution instructing the Energy Minister to remove the steam generators from the equipment for the Belene N-plant, which is subject to negotiations for sale to Ukraine, until an analysis is prepared for their application for the needs of the Kozloduy N-plant. The draft resolution was submitted by MPs from the parliamentary group of There Is Such a People" and was rejected by 69-31 and 60 abstentions after a revote.

The text proposed that the Minister of Energy take the necessary actions related to accelerating the analysis, which would unequivocally determine whether it is applicable and possible to use the steam generators from the suspended Belene prject for the Kozloduy N-plant. This decision in no way contradicts the decision proposed by Delyan Dobrev to extend negotiations with Ukraine by 180 days, said the petitioner Pavela Mitova from "There Is Such a People.
