site.btaUnidentified Group Ushers MRF Honorary Chair's Staff Out of His Boyana Home

In a video uploaded to the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Press Centre Facebook page late Thursday, former MRF and current independent MP Timur Halilov reported that a group of five to ten people have entered the premises of MRF honorary chair Ahmed Dogan's home in Sofia's Boyana suburb. The group showed a "document" to usher Dogan's staff out of the building.

According to Halilov, this is an instance of crude form of self-enforcement in an otherwise law-abiding European state, as is Bulgaria, considering that Dogan has been living in that building over the past 20 years. Halilov added that there is no law enforcement authority present to legitimize the outsiders' presence on the premises, while no one is certain what they are doing inside.

Halilov said: "That is why we appeal to the competent authorities, law enforcement authorities, we appeal to the State Agency for National Security, we appeal to the Prime Minister, we appeal to the President, to immediately take measures to ensure the right of the occupant of this home, the right of Dr Ahmed Dogan, because if someone has the right to own this home, there is a legal order to make this happen." The MP alleged that Bulgarian institutions are used to exact mob law.

According to official records, Dogan is not the owner of the summer mansion in Rosenets Park, on the Black Sea, the Bulgarian National Radio reported earlier Thursday. Records in the Property Register show the property is owned by the company Hermes Solar whose manager is Danail Papazov, a former minister of information technology, transport and communications from the government of Plamen Oresharski.

Papazov sent a press release on Thursday, in which he insisted that Dogan should leave the properties both in Boyana and in Rosenets Park, since both were owned by Papazov's companies and neither was owned by Dogan.
