site.btaPatriarch Daniil Confers with BAS President Yulian Revalski

Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil conferred with the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) Acad. Yulian Revalski at the Palace of the Holy Synod in Sofia on Wednesday, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church (BOC) said in a press release.

Patriarch Daniil thanked Acad. Revalski for his assistance in organising the Fourth Patriarchal Election Council, also highlighting the traditionally good relations between the BOC and BAS.

Acad. Revalski extended an invitation to Patriarch Daniil to take part in the celebrations to be held in October on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. During the meeting, the question of the relationship between faith and science was raised, as well as how the Church can support the work of researchers.

Bishop Gerasim of Melnik also attended the meeting.
