At the start of Wednesday's Council of Ministers meeting, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev reported on the Cabinet's work. "We have kept the main priorities that Bulgaria should focus on," he summarized.

"The likelihood of this being our last regular meeting is increasing. We continue with the reports. For four months, we worked at a very high pace. We achieved our main goals of organising fair, free, and transparent elections. We extinguished all kinds of fires, both literally and figuratively. We remained calm despite political speculations and provocations," Glavchev said.

"We put forward 20 bills in total. The law on the introduction of the euro in the Republic of Bulgaria is particularly important. It gets us ready to join the eurozone. I hope we complete the last step by the end of the year, so it can happen next year," he said.

Glavchev referenced the newly introduced amendments to the Roads Act in Parliament, which aim to reduce road accidents. "We put forward the law on the national emergency call system employing the single European number 112, which expands communication options for people with disabilities," Glavchev said.

In his report, he also highlighted the construction of the National Children's Hospital, confirming that site clearance was completed ahead of schedule.
