BSP acting president Atanas Zafirov congratulated Socialist Party President Olivier Faure on the occasion of the victory in the parliamentary elections in France, the BSP press centre said on Wednesday.

"You did a great job defeating the far right," Zafirov noted.

He also congratulated the way various progressive forces have come together to create a strong and united front.

"Your success is not just a victory for the French Socialist Party, but for all progressive movements that fight for social justice, equality and democracy," Zafirov wrote.
