Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB), which is part of the Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) coalition said they are proposing to their partners from CC-DB to to discuss and adopt a mechanism for getting out of the current political crisis. "We believe that such an option is to ask for the third [government forming] mandate, which would be considered a "national" mandate, DSB said here on Sunday. The position is part of DSB's resolution, whose Executive Council met on Saturday.

A government established with the third mandate in the form of a "technical cabinet" must guarantee the European democratic, legal and anti-corruption order, and the preservation of the parliamentary republic, the DSB resolution said.

The party defines the CC-DB coalition as a natural alliance of people sharing common values, the only alternative to the corrupt status quo and the main guarantor of upholding Bulgaria's European path and NATO membership. The coalition needs further consolidation and the creation of a model for more effective and equal interaction, the DSB stressed.

The DSB considers the results of the last parliamentary elections as unsatisfactory, but also a logical consequence of the mistakes made in the established governance structure.

DSB assess as wrong CC-DB's political decision to be responsible for Nikolay Denkov's cabinet. It was a solution for a way out of the crisis, but the lack of a clear coalition agreement allowed GERB to act as the ruling opposition, the party said.
