site.btaGovernment Approves Draft Joint Declaration on Strengthening Strategic Partnership between Bulgaria, Azerbaijan

The Council of Ministers Friday adopted a decision approving a draft joint declaration on strengthening strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan. The document builds on the strategic partnership defined in the previous Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed by the Presidents of the two countries on March 4, 2015.

The document clearly states the ambitions and concrete intentions of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Azerbaijan to develop and enrich their interaction in key areas such as energy, energy diversification and energy connectivity, trade and economic cooperation, transport and digital connectivity, including the information technology sector - high technologies and innovations, environment, and in areas such as defence and security, science and education, culture, people-to-people contacts.
