The European Prosecutor's Office appointed Brigita Bayryakova and Valentin Angelov as European delegated prosecutors from Bulgaria. This transpired after a meeting of the Prosecutors’ Chamber of the Supreme Judicial Council on Wednesday.

The candidacy of prosecutor Georgi Balkov was rejected, said Stefan Petrov, representative of the chamber.

Out of seven proposed candidates, four magistrates have been approved as European prosecutors after a competition.
