After influenza epidemic was declared in Shumen region, three more districts followed suit, the Health Ministry said in a press release on Friday.
In Veliko Tarnovo, temporary anti-epidemic measures will be in force from January 30 until February 5. In Shumen – from January 31 until February 7, and in Pernik from January 31 until February 9. Yambol region is declaring a flu epidemic on January 30.
General temporary measures in the districts include the suspension of scheduled consultations of healthy pregnant women and children; preventive examinations and mandatory immunizations and re-immunizations. Visiting is banned and strict daily filtering is conducted in nurseries, kindergartens and schools.
In-person classes are suspended from January 31 to February 5 inclusive in Pazardzhik and Varna districts. Children will not attend in-person and after-school activities in Pernik, either.
