Key traffic junctions in Stara Zagora region are closed for a fifth day on Tuesday because of protests by energy workers and miners. The movement through Trakia Motorway and the Republic Pass is blocked.

At 11 am, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov will meet with some of the protesters in the National Assembly building. The conversation was supposed to take place in Radnevo, but the venue was changed after the energy workers and miners did not confirm their presence. Denkov invited them to a meeting to present their demands in relation to the Territorial Just Transition Plans. The Ministers of Energy, Regional Development and Public Works, and Economy and Industry are also expected to attend the meeting. Leaders and MPs from political parties that support the government will also participate, the press release said.

The leader of Mini Maritsa-East's Podkrepa Confederation of Labour (CT) trade union Biser Binev said that he will attend the meeting in Sofia, but the talks will take place only if there are representatives of all parliamentary parties.
