President Rumen Radev expects an in-depth analysis of the actions of local authorities and the state to prepare for natural disasters. This is what the Head of State said in response to BTA's question about the government's response after the floods in Bulgaria, which claimed four lives. Rumen Radev is currently on a visit to the Thessaloniki International Fair and also answered questions from Bulgarian media.

"I expect an in-depth analysis of how local authorities act, how the state acts, what the preparations are for natural disasters, how the state reacts when they happen," the President said.

"There is one difference between Karlovo and all the other floods - in Karlovo there were no victims, but from the first hours the army was mobilized there, there were the modular formations for the floods, the fire brigade and the Interior Ministry, the detachment from the Sofia municipality, helicopters. Ministers were there from the first hours and stayed for a long time," Radev added.
