NSI Presents Demographic Data on Bulgarian Children
A total of 56,596 live births (99.4% of total births) were registered in Bulgaria in 2022. Compared to the previous year, the number of live births decreased by 2,082 children or 3.5%. The total number of children aged 0 to 17 years in the country was 1,099,696, according to data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) report for 2022, presented on Thursday at a joint press conference with UNICEF.
