Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) prime minister designate Nikolay Denkov confirmed that there is a thaw in relations with GERB-UDF and that he expects to meet with GERB’s Mariya Gabriel and continue talks to attempt to form a government. Denkov indicated to journalists in Parliament that he would first meet with Gabriel in person to specify the measures that are important for the talks to continue.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov confirmed that CC-DB and GERB will meet on Wednesday. He added that a week ago, the the Movement for Rights and Freedoms said that there must be a government at any cost and, that they must be involved in order to have a constitutional majority in order to continue the judicial reform.

The country should be governed by the people's representatives, who have a majority, Denkov argued.

When asked whether CC-DB co-chairman Assen Vassilev will take a step back and not be part of the draft cabinet, Denkov answered: “We must continue discussions because, in addition to the fact that there should not be party members, there should also be a person that will do the job. It is not so easy to find a minister of finance who can do the job under these difficult circumstances” he also said.

Meanwhile, Wednesday's session of the National Assembly began with a declaration by the Vazrazhdane party regarding Tuesday's hearing of the heads of security services in Parliament.

"Yesterday was a historic moment in which the masks behind the scenes were lifted," commented Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov. The best decision is to return the mandate immediately, he said regarding the second mandate to form a government, given to Denkov.
