site.btaBTA National Press Club in Shumen Hosts Europe in Bulgaria: Common Future Conference

A conference organized under the Europe in Bulgaria: Common Future project is taking place at the BTA National Press Club in Shumen, starting at 10:30 on Thursday. The project is implemented by BTA with the support of the European Commission. Its main objective is to provide information to the general public on cohesion policy, the role of different stakeholders in the implementation of European Union (EU) policy priorities, local results and opportunities in the programming period 2021-2027.

Representatives of local institutions and municipalities will attend the conference. 

The discussion will focus on the perspectives and strategies for the development of Bulgaria's northeast region. Good practices and successful projects from the previous programming period (2014-2020) will be presented. The initiative's aim is to inform and encourage an open dialogue.

The EU cohesion policy, which has long-term objectives, includes investments in national and regional programmes to boost growth, employment, social integration and cooperation. Its main task is to bridge the development gap between regions.
