Police have detained on Trakia motorway a Bulgarian wanted in Austria. The 61-year-old is suspected of laundering EUR 170,000 from criminal activity, the Interior Ministry said Friday.

The man was tracked down and stopped near the southern city of Plovdiv while driving in the direction of Burgas.

The police were acting upon a European arrest warrant issued by the prosecution in Wels, Austria. The competent authorities on the case have been duly notified.
