The government has appointed new members of the Supervisory Board of the National Social Security Institute (NSSI), the press centre of the Council of Ministers said on Thursday. 

By law, the Supervisory Board consists of one representative of each of the nationally representative employers' and trade unions' organizations and an equal number of members appointed by the government, one of whom must be the deputy executive director of the National Revenue Agency.

In connection with the presidential decree on the appointment of an interim government of August 2, 2022, the release of government representatives on the NSSI Supervisory Board of and the appointment of new members were required.

The following members of the Supervisory Board were dismissed: Georgi Gyokov, Lyubomir Bakalivanov and Dimitar Margaritov.

As new members of the Supervisory Board of the National Insurance Institute, the government appointed: Lazar Lazarov - Deputy Prime Minister for Social Policies and Minister of Labour and Social Policy; Dimitar Danchev - Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry and Toma Tomov - Deputy Minister of Health.
