The policy on postal services will be implemented by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policies and the Minister of Transport, said Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Nikolay Naydenov during a briefing in the Council of Ministers in connection with the decision of the caretaker Cabinet adopted on Thursday.

Naydenov explained that the change was necessary to bring it into line with the legal provisions. According to the structure of the caretaker government, there should be a designated deputy prime minister responsible for these issues, added Naydenov.

According to him, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has functional competences, good experience and expertise regarding the management of Bulgarian Posts EAD.

In this regard, the Ministry of Transport and Communications will have the sole rights for the management of Bulgarian Posts EAD, said Naydenov.
