A total of 41.3% of adult Bulgarians would not be happy to go to early general elections again and 26.5% hold the opposite view. This transpires from the monthly independent poll of the agency held June 2-10 among 806 Bulgarians.

The questions only partially reflect the political shocks of the past week and the results are indicative of lasting attitudes in the Bulgarian society, the analysts say.

Close to 40% of respondents don't want this government to resign, while 36.7% want it to come down.

As for the attitude to the start of EU accession talks with Skopje, 62.8% of respondents believe that Bulgaria's neighbour has not done enough for Bulgaria to lift its veto on the start of the accession procedure. Less than 10% believe that Skopje has done enough.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, attitudes in Bulgaria show no structural changes from earlier polls and 58.8% disapprove of the actions of Russian President Putin, while 23.3% approve them.
