Ivan Hristanov is a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections on October 25, according to a decision by the Central Election Commission. He was put forward by a nomination committee alongside vice-presidential candidate Stoyanka Cherkezova.

Hristanov was born on December 24, 1973, in Sofia. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, specializing in Agrarian Economics with a minor in Accounting.

In 1998, he began working at the Sofia office of the international accounting firm TMF, subsequently joining the finance department of the Storko cannery in Pleven. In 2001, he founded JetFinance International, a high-tech consumer finance company. In 2007, it was sold to BNP Paribas Personal Finance. Following the sale, Hristanov became a partner in two investment funds: Empower Capital and Silver Line.

He was elected a Member of Parliament in the 47th National Assembly on the ticket of the Continue the Change party. He was Deputy Minister of Agriculture in the Kiril Petkov cabinet. He was also elected as an MP to the 48th National Assembly. He left Continue the Change in February 2023.
