Plamen Paskov is a presidential candidate in the upcoming elections on October 25. A nomination committee put him forward alongside vice-presidential candidate Svetozar Saev in accordance with a decision by the Central Election Commission.

Paskov was born on September 12, 1965, in Dimitrovgrad, Southern Bulgaria. He graduated with honours in 1983 from the Ivan Vazov High School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Dimitrovgrad. From 1985 to 1990, he studied Veterinary Medicine at the Higher Institute of Zootechnics and Veterinary Medicine (now Trakia University). He is fluent in Russian, English, and French.
