Traffic at the Kapitan Andreevo border control checkpoint at the border with Turkiye is heavy for trucks exiting Bulgaria, the General Directorate Border Police reported on Friday morning.

At the Oryahovo border checkpoint with Romania, the ferry platform servicing the Oryahovo-Bechet route temporarily suspended operations on October 1 due to the low level of the Danube River.

Traffic is normal at all other control checkpoints on Bulgaria’s border with Romania. Renovation work on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse is ongoing. Temporary traffic arrangements have been introduced. Traffic is limited to a single lane.

Traffic is normal at all checkpoints on Bulgaria’s borders with North Macedonia, Serbia and Greece.

On the border with Greece, construction work is underway at the Rudozem-Xanthi route on the Greek side.
