Turkiye will build 500,000 new homes across the country to meet the social needs of its people, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Monday evening in a statement after a cabinet meeting. 

"This project includes a special quota for families with three children, young people, relatives of those who died in the line of duty, veterans, and pensioners," Erdogan said, as quoted by Turkish media. 

The aim is for some of these homes to be rented out at lower prices, while others will provide relief to families living in small homes. The Turkish President announced that details of the project will be presented in the coming days.
