Former Prime Minister of Serbia and leader of the Serbian Progressive Party, Milos Vucevic, became an adviser on regional affairs to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday, local media reported on Thursday.

Vucevic resigned as prime minister on January 28 after a group of students protesting in the city of Novi Sad were assaulted with baseball bats outside the office of the Serbian Progressive Party. One of the students suffered a fractured jaw.

Vucevic's resignation was approved by Serbia's Parliament on March 19.
