An exhibition titled "The Letters of Bulgaria - Alphabet of Europe" opened Thursday at the BTA National Press Club in Ankara.  This is a poster action of the International Triennial of the Stage Poster, with the participation of prominent artists from different countries and continents.

The opening event was attended by the press officers of the Ankara-based embassies of EU member states. Among the guests were many local people.

On display are 30 posters, as many as the letters of the Bulgarian alphabet. Each artist is the author of one poster for a letter determined by lot.

One of the letters, "Ь", was created after a competition between young Bulgarian artists and students, in which more than 60 projects of artists up to 35 years of age participated.

All the posters are in colour, 70 x 100 cm and have the same typographic layout.

The international poster action and exhibition "The Letters of Bulgaria - Alphabet of Europe" unites the efforts of 30 artists from 20 countries (27 world famous poster artists and three Bulgarian artists) to create a collection of posters dedicated to Bulgaria and its culture through the theme of the uniqueness and universality of the Bulgarian alphabet - one of the three scripts of Europe.

The poster for the letter "Щ"  is designed by Turkish artist Savas Cekic.

The action of the International Triennial of the Stage Poster - Sofia is the first attempt to engage a wide range of prominent artists from around the world to create a comprehensive contemporary artistic product promoting Bulgarian culture using one of its emblems - the letters.
