North Macedonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani met with the ambassadors of EU Member States to his country, Osmani's Ministry said Friday. At the meeting, he reviewed the latest events in foreign policy, with a focus on North Macedonia's agenda, noting that the active foreign policy programme is a confirmation of the region's European future.
In his words, the March 17 Stabilisation and Association Council being held in Skopje for the first time and the meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Ohrid are a recognition of North Macedonia's new role in the regional context towards the preservation of regional security and prosperity, promotion of the culture of dialogue and the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries.
Also discussed at the meeting were the next steps in North Macedonia's pre-accession process, with a special focus on the implementation of the screening process to this moment, which has been assessed as successful, the need to adopt constitutional changes as an obligation that the country has accepted, the challenges within the OSCE Chairmanship, and the third edition of the Prespa Forum Dialogue.
